1992 World Cup, Sydney: India won By 43 Runs

India and Pakistan squared off against one another for the first time at the 1992 World Cup in Sydney. India scored 216/7 in 49 overs. In reply, Pakistan were dismissed for 173 runs. India won by 43 runs.

1996 World Cup,Bangalore: India Won by 39 Runs

This was a quarterfinal played in Bangalore. India batted first and scored a formidable total of 287/8. In reply, Pakistan managed to score 248 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs, falling short of India's total by 39 runs.

1999 World Cup, Manchester – India Won by 47 Runs

Batting first, India posted a total of 227 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. In reply, Pakistan team was all out for 180.

2003 World Cup, Centurion – India Won by 29 Runs

Pakistan set a total of 273 runs. For India, Sachin Tendulkar led India’s batting charge with a brilliant 98 runs in only 75 balls. India chased down the target with 6 wickets in hand.

 

2011 World Cup, Mohali – India Won by 29 Runs

India won the toss in the semi-final, elected to bat first and posted a total of 260/9 in their 50 overs. Pakistan were dismissed for 231 runs. 

2015 World Cup, Adelaide – India Won by 76 Runs

India batted first and scored a whopping 300 runs at the loss of seven wickets. India bowled out Pakistan for 224 runs and emerged victorious by 76 runs.

2019 World Cup, Manchester – India Won by 89 Runs
