Men's ODI WC: Shakib back for Bangladesh as South Africa elect to bat

Cricket World Cup:  South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first against Bangladesh in their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup match at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.
South Africa’s skipper Temba Bavuma continued to be indisposed while Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan recovered from the left quad injury he suffered during the match against New Zealand.

Aiden Markram, who led the squad against England too, said they will try to approach this match too like that one and put up a big score.

South Africa made one change in their playing XI, bringing Lizaad Williams in place of Lungi Ngidi.

Shakib came into Bangladesh playing XI with Towhid Hridoy making way for the skipper.

“I don’t mind bowling first, if we can restrict them to a reasonable total hopefully we can chase them down, We have to play our best cricket,” said Shakib Al Hasan at the toss.
